CHANGES IN AN INCORPORATED TRUST IN KENYA

Upon taking the trust registration mandate on 3^rd June 2024, the Business Registration Service (BRS) has implemented an online system on Ecitizen that permits the following applications for changes relating to an incorporated trust:

1. Changes of trustees.
2. Search of a registered Trust.
3. Change of trust name.
4. Copies.

Below are the requirements for each change application:

Changes of trustees:

1. Full name of the new trustee
2. New trustee’s certificate of incorporation (in case of natural person copy of ID)
3. New trustee’s KRA Pin
4. Minutes of the current trustees appointing the new trustee
5. Certificate of incorporation of the trust and registration number
6. Duly filled Form B (application for recording of new trustee)
7. Full names of the outgoing trustees.
8. BRS Processing fees (Ksh.600)

Search of a registered Trust

1. Name of the trust
2. Trust registration number
3. Duly filled and commissioned LRA 9 form
4. Search fee Ksh. 550.00

Change of Trust Name

1. Resolution
2. Duly filed Form A
3. Copy of certificate of incorporation
4. Processing fee Ksh. 550.00

Application for certified copies

1. Application letter
2. Processing fee Ksh. 50.00
